Yopie suffered from polio when she was nine years old but her need to use crutches permanently has never stopped her from pursuing her fashion goals. Having completed a Certificate III of Apparel and Manufacture at TAFE, Yopie left when she was offered a job at Movie World to design costumes (she currently designs at Seaworld). Her fashion influences are varied – from classic, timeless patterns to the far-out 70s – with a touch of Angelina Jolie! Yopie’s ultimate goal in fashion is to have a men’s and women’s wear label that is internationally renowned - but insists on remaining a Gold Coast girl at heart!
