Brittany Cartwright was born in Kentucky and spent her childhood on her family farm in the town of Winchester. Growing up as the daughter of a youth minister, Brittany was an active member of her local church. Throughout high school she participated in cheerleading and won several beauty pageants, before enrolling in Eastern Kentucky University to continue cheering and study nursing. Brittany was working at a Cincinnati Hooters when a trip to Las Vegas led to a chance meeting with Jax Taylor. Romance ensued, and within weeks Brittany had packed her life into the trunk of her car and drove cross country to move in with Jax in Los Angeles. She loves her new California home, but she still misses the farm and speaks to her family back in Kentucky almost every day.
Although Jax is in the best relationship of his life, working with his girlfriend of one year, Brittany, at SUR in addition to living together is proving to be a challenge for the former playboy and gossip king. Jax must learn to live with a country tough Kentucky girl who won’t tolerate his mischief; and when Brittany’s conservative mother comes to town, Jax has no choice but to explain his sordid and reckless past to his potential future mother-in-law.
