Meet the crew of Season 5

Captain Lee Rosbach
Captain Harold Lee Rosbach has spent more than 20 years in the yachting industry. Born and raised in landlocked Saginaw, Michigan, he discovered his untapped love for the water later in life when he was managing a restaurant in Turks & Caicos and an acquaintance invited him to serve as a mate on a sailboat delivery to earn extra cash. At the age of 35, Lee obtained his Captain’s license and left the restaurant business behind to pursue his newfound passion. Some of the mega yachts that have since been under Captain Lee’s command include 163’ Cuor di Leone, 162’Mustang Sally, 155’ Ohana, 140’ Just Enough, 135’ Atlantica, 135’ Feadship Sea Ghost. 120′ Sovereign, Pauly D, Insatiable, Morganstar, and Mostro.

Kate Chastain
Florida native Kate Chastain began her yachting career in 2007. Initially only planning on taking a “gap year” working on boats, she immediately fell in love with the exotic and exciting industry and never looked back. While traveling throughout the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Central America, and New England, Kate worked her way up the ranks to the position of Chief Stewardess. Best known for planning and executing lavish vacations and theme parties, Kate has entertained royalty, celebrities, and business tycoons around the world.

After a few years of international adventures and glamorous guests, Kate began to compile her stories from the sea hoping to one day share them with the world.  In 2016, those stories were published in her book, Lucky Charming, which quickly became an Amazon #1 Best Seller in the Humor category.  After nearly a decade globetrotting with the rich and famous, conquering the yachting world, and even writing the book about it, Kate has now focused on building a more domestic life on land…with the option to take a freelance charter whenever the urge for adventure strikes, of course.

Nico Scholly
A Chicago native, Nico Scholly left his job in real estate after hearing from a friend about the exotic yachting lifestyle. Since his move from Chicago to Ft. Lauderdale, Nico has worked on many yachts, ranging from 120-223 feet. Nico got his sea legs working for two years on a privately-owned billionaire’s yacht. Since then, his clients have included many well-known celebrities ranging from actors to musicians, even once shooting a music video on board. When he is not on charter, Nico enjoys wakeboarding and boating between Chicago and Fort Lauderdale.

Baker Manning
Baker Manning comes from a big family in South Carolina, however she is anything but a southern belle. After graduating from the College of Charleston, she began travelling and working all over the world in pursuit of unique life experiences. She worked on private jets and sailboats, but was first introduced to yachting in 2014 when she landed her first big job doubling as a deckhand and a stewardess on a privately owned motor yacht travelling throughout the Bahamas and the East Coast. Baker spends the offseason continuing to travel and explore, and created a website that guides and encourages others to do the same. With so many passions, from being a dance fitness instructor to a tour guide and volunteer, Baker has no plans to settle down anytime soon.

Brianna Adekeye
Free-spirited Brianna joined the yachting world after going on a “booze cruise” in Marina del Ray three years ago while on vacation. When she returned home she immediately began certifications to become a stewardess for yachts. At first, her passion for travel and love of nature fit her new career as a stew, but after working on her largest and most challenging yacht, a 98-meter under a strict chief stew, she realized she would rather be a freelance yachtie. Being able to jump from ship to ship and still travel the world appealed to Brianna’s transient lifestyle. When she’s not on charter or travelling the world, Brianna dabbles in various activities from surfing to playing the ukulele.

Bruno Duarte
Hailing from Lisbon, Portugal, Bruno Duarte joins the M/Y Valor as a deckhand this season. After a traumatic childhood, growing up with the loss of a twin brother and an abusive father, Bruno was forced to be an older brother and father figure for his family. After working as a waiter in restaurants and five-star hotels, Bruno quickly began to focus his career path. Bruno took his passion for hospitality from land to sea and moved on to cruise ships, becoming an officer in guest services and guest relations. Eager to challenge himself, Bruno decided to bring his skills to luxury yachting. While new to the exclusive yachting world, Bruno is excited to master his deckhand responsibilities.

Chris Brown
Travel, adventure, and excitement are all passions of Chris Brown. What better way to fuse them all together then yachting? Four years ago Chris Brown met a deckhand in Costa Rica and was quickly sold on getting paid to travel the world. He highly enjoys food, extreme sports, physical fitness, charming women and living anything but an ordinary life. He holds a powerful, polarizing personality that clashes with people as often as it melds with them. More than his travel, accomplishments and ego he most highly values family and those he considers close friends.

Jennifer Howell
She likes big boats and she cannot lie! Jen Howell is a Florida native, passionate about life at sea. After graduating college, Jen moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to chase a dream and quickly earned the title of Land Operations, Marketing/Sales Manager for a 64′ Luxury Catamaran. After celebrating her wedding reception on the yacht, Jen soon gave birth to her now 9-year-old daughter Isabella and moved back home to be close to family in Florida. Just a couple years later, after becoming a single mom, Jen had to reluctantly put her yacht dreams on hold and pursue a stable career in real estate. She quickly became a top seller in Florida, and was most recently ranked as second in the state. Still drawn to the ocean, Jen currently juggles her careers in both yachting and real estate. Whether Jen is busy being a top seller, a stew, or mom to her daughter, she always gives her heart into all her jobs.

Matt Burns
With over 10 years of experience in the restaurant industry, and an executive chef on yachts for over six years, Matt Burns is passionate about providing five star quality cuisines and service aboard the M/Y Valor. After working in restaurants, and as a cooking instructor in Ottawa, Canada, Matt was introduced to yachting through a friend who was a captain in need of a quality chef for his charter. His career has sent him all over the world including the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the Adriatic and the South Pacific; and introduced him to celebrity clientele ranging from movie stars, sports stars and businessmen. His travels have kept his skills as sharp as his knives, mastering various cuisines and incorporating the latest food trends into his meals. He enjoys catering to the healthy lifestyles of his clients and is continuing his culinary education in nutrition and baking. When not on charter, Matt enjoys taking his vintage truck on culinary adventures around the US and Canada, discovering local cuisines that he can bring back to his next charter.
